Week 1: Film Genre Research

 This week we have finally started the planning towards our final of the movie we are creating for AICE Media Studies AS! We can classify this first week as planning since this is just the kick starter to all the research I will complete on the thriller genre and AICE Media Studies AS.

My partner (Lucca) and I have already completed a rough draft for our movie "The Bird Watcher," which can be classified as our midterm for this class, although with recent troubles of trying to upload it to my blog I haven't been able to. I will attempt to not only attach the link to one of my blog posts, but also upload it to a Youtube channel which my partner Lucca has already created specifically for this class.

I am beyond excited to continue improving on the movie Lucca and I have created and continue learning about the thriller genre. Hopefully the research in which I follow through with shows when I have all my blog posts completed and the final cut for my movie done.

Zodiac Case Study

 Recently, I finished a case study on the movie "Zodiac" where I applied 3 theory's about genre and movies to helping me analyze the movie. I even looked at marketing towards the movie. Final Cut for The Bird Watcher!

It's official: I have finally finished and exported our movie The Bird Watcher! I couldn't be prouder of the work that has gone into the movie from filming the midterm to filming the final cut and spending hours editing it. It really has come together and I also couldn't thank my partner Lucca enough for the work he has also contributed into making this movie. To think that I would have come this far when I first entered this class is incredible. In first quarter I thought completing a case study on a movie was hard work but little did I know how much time it would take to really get my movie the way I want it. Unfortunately, the hard work has to continue now that I have to make sure all my blogs look great and that my CCRs are well done. I say unfortunately but I also mean fortunately because my love for movies and this class has only grown. I find everything we have to do in this class incredibly interesting and fun to do.
