Post Production 1
It is now Thursday, March 5th and as of yesterday (Wednesday, March 4th) my partner Lucca and I filmed for our final cut of our movie for this class. Although, we have not finished filming. In this blog I will be recapping what we got done during our filming session yesterday and our future plans in order to finish filming and begin editing.
For what we got done, I am personally very proud of. Going into it I wasn't expecting much to get out of the filming session. We had none of what we needed to film our final cut as they weren't available at the time. For example, we were planning on using my sister's camera for the film but it wasn't charged. Along with the drone we needed for our establishing shot.
We quickly put this aside though. We decided we can still film on my iPhone and get an idea of the exact shots we want. This would then give us a good basis of the shots we wanted, and then we would be able to replicate the shots with my sister's camera.
We had our story board with us as well and made sure we followed it in case we forgot any of the shots we originally planned for. Along with the shots we took, we also took notes. These notes served as a way to remember what we want to do for our next filming session, and the things we need to have ready before we start to ensure we can finish filming and get to editing.
There is already another filming session planned which will be on Saturday, March 7th. The plan is to begin filming at 5:30 as we want to film when it begins to get dark, allowing better lighting for our thriller/horror movie.
As Lucca and I walked through the movie, while also shooting it, I have learned that there is serious potential for our final cut, and it looks to be much better than our midterm movie. I am now beyond excited for the future of our project.
Below are links to some of the shots we took on iPhone which we will refer to for when we use my sister's camera to record.
